Gypsy Wire Earrings

In this class you will learn a coiling technique taken from coiled basketry and apply it to wire. Two different applications of this technique will be taught. The first is a coiling technique that binds wires together with a finer gauge wire to create a frame that showcases a special bead. The second application uses simple wire components and while coiling, you create eyes instead of binding. From the eyes, you dangle gemstones. These components are then joined together with jump rings to create fabulous gypsy style earrings. Previous wire work experience is required. This workshop meets once.
